Trip got capped off by a visit to Prof. Luigi Colani's exhibit and atelier, he was a major design influence in the 70's and 80's, at 80 years old, he's not slowing down. He has 2 VW Phaetons torn up to siamese the engines for some 24 cylinder monstrosity.

Nice. That Alfa roadster was definitely TT-inspired. I like the Nimbus Ferrari.

 

They give a much better sense of what it's actually like to be at the show than the professional ones I've seen...interesting.

I'm dying to know

 

I haven't spoken to them since Tuesday. At that time they were STILL waiting on the oil cooler to come back from the cleaner. I was very tempted to go by the shop late yesterday to get a look at what's going on, but decided against it (I don't want to harrass these guys more than I already have).
This coming Thursday will be the six week mark, so I'm really hoping to have it back by then. Considering that on Wednesday the 5th they told me it 'might' be ready on Friday the 7th, they must be getting close now. Who knows? Bet your *** that I'll be posting on it the instant it comes back!

 

Don't forget the 500 mile break in on that clutch

 

Almost certainly there are going to be slight issues (clamps and hoses, possible CEL's, etc.) that will require attention. It's going to be torture getting those first 500 miles in.

 

you read me like a book, the people that'll see this can download the glory shots but couldn't make the show. It helps that I'm pretty useless as a photographer.
