Turning signal failure

The other day I was driving and noticed my turn signal would just stop blinking after I activated it. It isn't consistent but both right and left turn signals will blink 2-4 times then nothing. I parked my car in my parking garage and put on my hazards and everything worked normally. Any ideas what went wrong and if I can fix it without heading to the dealership?

PS the lights are not burned out.

bad hazard/flasher relay...quick search shows lots of info/FAQ

Had the same thing happen to me, both would stop, put on the hazards....

or restarted the car and all was well, for awhile. Dealer replaced center hazard switch, that corrected it.

Don't you have the LED turns? Could that be a part of the problem? I'll take them to be safe...
