Slight burning oil smell in cabin solved!
I've been trying to figure out a slight burning oil smell in my passenger cabin for the last few months since I bought my car. I could only smell it when the car was at idle and always went away as the car was moving. I've had suggestions from the valve cover gasket to cam tensioner gasket leaking to PCV valve, etc. There's never been any visible signs of leakage and only a bit of sweat around the pcv valve area. The other day when I had the plastic engine cover off, I noticed a puddle of oil gathered in the rubber seal around the oil filling opening, presumably spilled when the oil was being filled. I wiped that up and the smell hasn't been back since. Easy fix to the issue that you may want to check if you're having a similar problem.
