Default Just bought a 2003 Coupe Quattro

Hi everyone. Please excuse the newbie questions but I thought I'd come to the people who know the most about this car. The car looks good, had a clean carfax and has about 43k miles on it. I managed to get the dealership to agree to let me return the car if I get it checked and has anything major wrong with it (where major = something that would cost $1,000+ to repair).

Are there any particular things I should make sure my mechanic checks when I take it in tomorrow? Would it be more advisable to take it to an Audi dealership to get it checked or is an independent mechanic the best choice? I think I got a _very_ good deal so I want to make sure nothings wrong with it while I still have time to take it back to the dealership.

Any and all suggestions/comments are appreciated!

Also, seems like I am missing the Sound System Operating Instructions Manual. I only see it up for sale, is there any place where I can find a pdf? I have no idea how to make that stereo even blink so knowing that it works would be nice as well.

Thanks!

~ka

What you paying for it? Make sure that the ESP works, and if it plays music and reads CD's it works.

Paid $21,688 before taxes (it has the premium package and 18" 7-spoke rims).

I'll try to stick a CD in the radio and see what happens, I just hope to at least see signs of life. I know a code is necessary but after such a long stay at the dealership I forgot to ask about that...

Default Wow, don't mean to burst your bubble, but at that price, I would hesitate to

call it a very good deal. It seems just a little on the high side for a 2003 with that many miles...

Just remember, another 20,000 miles and you will need to replace timing belt.

Well, the important thing is that you like it and you don't mind paying for it... GL
