Can I use a slightly larger diameter vacuum line for my boost gauge?
I have a ProSport performance electrical boost gauge I'm installing shortly. The sender and vacuum tee are both about 3/16". The nylon pressure line they gave me is about 1/4" outside diameter and a little less than 3/16" inside diameter. However, the fit is excruciatingly tight, and it took me hours to get it on the sender. I have some extra 5/16" outside/3/16" inside diameter nylon (clear) hose from another project and the fit is very snugly over the tee and sender er, 'nipple'. (for lack of a better term)
My question is, for only the tee->sender, is using a slightly larger inside diameter line going to be ok? Or will this potentially mess with my readings or boost levels?
Thanks everyone!
