headlight doesn't always light up (03 TT coupe)
We just bought a used 03 TT. Sometimes at night, when turning on the headlights, the left lamp won't light up, and the warning light appears on the dash. I have found that if I turn the light off and on a few times, the light will eventually come on.
Someone mentioned that this might be the headlight ignitor,rather than the headlamp. He also said it's very expensive to replace (around a thousand dollars).
Does anyone have any more information on this? Is that diagnosis and cost accurate? Is there a way we can bypass the ignitors by using other types of headlamps (and is it worth it)?

Just kidding, I am not on this board as much as I once was; too much going on, but I always check in and read at least once a month and it seems like ther are an awful lot of forums on Audi World now.
