I just got a call from APR...
Sorry I've been away for so long. The reason for that can be found here, and coupled with that, during the move/roadtrip, internet access has been very rare.
So... Hi.

Anyway, APR tells me that my car is ready to go. But frankly, I don't need it anymore, and I can't even really say that I want it. Having lived without it for two years, and having not even seen it for about 14 months, well, I've learned to live quite happily without it.
At this point, I'd much prefer that they just bought the thing from me, but they've not indicated any interest in doing so.
Thoughts?
Oh, and if they'd told me that I was getting my damned car back, I wouldn't have bought a frickin' Triumph yesterday. Awesome timing there. [long string of expletives!!]
The best years of enjoyment of the TT has passed. Now would have been about the time to move to something else. Obviously you have.
If your car was silver I would have considered buying it from you if they would warranty it for a number of years.
I'm really sorry you had to go through all that in your quest for more powah.
Hope all is going well with the move and the newlywed life. Keep me posted Chris!
Cheers!
Your loss of passion for the TT is more than understandable given all you've been through. If APR has really fixed it though, your car should make somebody very happy. In my mind, it remains one of the most tastefully executed cars of the first generation of TT owners. Good luck with whatever you decide.

But I decided that its a cool enough vehicle to fix up and keep for myself...Once I got the car though it was like rekindling an old love affair.
Hopefully you will go the same route...after all where you gonna get a car that looks as great...performs as well and is paid for...that was my arguement to myself in the end.
M,
