Default I just got a call from APR...

Hello, all.

Sorry I've been away for so long. The reason for that can be found here, and coupled with that, during the move/roadtrip, internet access has been very rare.

So... Hi.

Anyway, APR tells me that my car is ready to go. But frankly, I don't need it anymore, and I can't even really say that I want it. Having lived without it for two years, and having not even seen it for about 14 months, well, I've learned to live quite happily without it.

At this point, I'd much prefer that they just bought the thing from me, but they've not indicated any interest in doing so.

Thoughts?

Oh, and if they'd told me that I was getting my damned car back, I wouldn't have bought a frickin' Triumph yesterday. Awesome timing there. [long string of expletives!!]

Default It's about damn time they had the freakin car ready...but I understand about not wanting it anymore.

Kinda left a sour taste in your mouth with the whole experience.

The best years of enjoyment of the TT has passed. Now would have been about the time to move to something else. Obviously you have.

If your car was silver I would have considered buying it from you if they would warranty it for a number of years.

I'm really sorry you had to go through all that in your quest for more powah.

Hope all is going well with the move and the newlywed life. Keep me posted Chris!

Cheers!

Default I'm looking for a ~$5k daily driver so I'll take it off your hands.

Good luck Chris in whatever you decide. I found myself driving mine less and less to the point where I didn't mind letting mine go either.

Default Wow - Talk about jumping out of the pan and into the fire!

Having grown up wrenching British sports cars in the 70's, all I can say is you may appreciate the reliability of your TT (pre-APR stage what-the-f?ck). Details on the Triumph?

Your loss of passion for the TT is more than understandable given all you've been through. If APR has really fixed it though, your car should make somebody very happy. In my mind, it remains one of the most tastefully executed cars of the first generation of TT owners. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Default Chris...take it from me...once you get it back the love will return

I felt exactly the same way with the Roach...I thought...**** it...let the ex keep it, then push came to shove and I had to get it cause she decided to sell the house and couldnt afford to keep it,fix it or run it...I was >< close to selling it to a friend as a project car for him...

But I decided that its a cool enough vehicle to fix up and keep for myself...Once I got the car though it was like rekindling an old love affair.

Hopefully you will go the same route...after all where you gonna get a car that looks as great...performs as well and is paid for...that was my arguement to myself in the end.

M,

Default It's one of the new, two-wheeled Triumphs. The Thruxton.
