Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but have been very impressed with the sports. All weather plus some track use, comfortable - sport balance. Mine are paired with ABT springs, which aren't much different (or maybe no different) than the Eibach springs.

Yeah, sports have a shorter throw for use with lowering springs....
....HD have a longer throw for use with taller OEM springs, otherwise they're identical. You can run HD's with lower springs, (which I'm doing with Eibachs) but can't run sports with OEM springs. Schwing once posted a link to a long thread on some other forum that went into great detail about the differences between the two.... the conclusion was the same.
Go with sports unless you ever want to run unlowered with the OEM springs.
