Replaced my L. F. ABS Sensor tonight...that was far harder than it needed to be.
Not only did I snap one of my Brake Pad wires and have to splice it togehter, while "Jimmy Jacking," everything around, I had to forcibly remove the broken sensor from the Spindle with a chisel...I mean screw driver.
Tight tolerances take on a new meaning when you have to remove the caliper, caliper bracket and rotor to be able to get a small screw driver in to basically chisel the 'isht out of the sensor to get it out.
Luckily some grease and a couple light persuasive strikes with the rubber mallet put the new sensor in place.
Cleared codes with the VAGCOM and I can see what radio station I'm on in the MFD again!
