I would like your help with or ideas on why my car is smoking --->>

So the car is an 01 w/ 66,000 miles on it. I noticed if I had run the car for 15 mins or untill the engine had warmed up well and then I let the car idle for aprox. 4-5 mins it would start to smoke out of the exhaust. I thought maybe the engine had some carbon build so I used seafoam and put it into the intake mani and some in the gas tank. Well it def blew out a TON of smoke for a few miles but after a few days I ran the car untill it was nice and warm and let the car idle for 5 mins and once again I saw smoke coming out of the exhaust. I would not say its loads of smoke but def noticable. I changed the oil a few days ago and added a bottle of restore but the car is still smoking. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks fyi- i have not noticed any smoke at all while driving and if the car does its smoking thing when i let it idle and then rev it the smoke stops for about 30 sec then starts up again. Please help

What color is the smoke?

like a grayish tint, looks almost like when you run your car in the cold for the 1st few mins

Probably nothing wrong then... my engine when idling runs a little rich and blows

a small amount of gray-black smoke.

keep an eye on your coolant and oil levels

if one of them gets low suddenly, then you'll know...

I have the exact same problem...

except i have 148k miles, and the smoke def smells like oil...

but same symptoms, only smokes after idling for a few minutes, goes away after a quick rev and doesn't manifest while driving.

I don't burn any noticeable oil and dont go through coolant. I'm thinking the PCV system maybe?

car runs/feels great otherwise.

frustrating.
