well the guys at Tyrolsport did some really hard work on the car...and were really good guys. So if you're in the tristate area and looking for dedicated VW/Audi service, i recommend them highly.

Met Italskier (Sal) yesterday as well along with another TT owner named Pernell. Sal gave me a copy of the TT forum POSTER! it looks great!

the lowering on the car looks PERFECT. the wheels look even better now, and the car just looks totally sinister. pics later sometime.

however, i know the suspension is settling and all...but it feels a bit 'floaty' at times...like it's not coordinated with the rest of the car....and at other times as if the response to a bump is a bit random and unpredictable. Is this because of 'settling'? or do you think there's something wrong with the set up.

the camber is gonna have to be further corrected, as it's slightly too negative...but the KMACs are cool and seemed easy to adjust...

the Defcons....well, so far, the steering seems very weird. There is quite a delay before getting any steering accomplished. I think this might be due to brand new bushings all around...maybe just need to get em warmed up and broken in slightly.

the car feels very weird right now...but other than that, the handling DOES seem pretty tight at sharper turns and higher speeds...the instability is more at lower speeds.

any suggestions or ideas?

Ummm...You shouldn't be experiencing that. Did you get an alignment?

 

it might need an Alignment.......;-)

 

that thing should feel tighter then a virgin on prom night now..

so you guys are saying to get it right AFTER installation?

 

once the alignment is done, you will see a big difference......

Let it settle....then alignment.....from there you will get a better feel for what is going on...

 

DEFCONs do NOT need a break in... Something sounds amiss...

 

depending on what you mean.

Bad alignment will lead to steering issues - defcons definitely sharpen up the steering.

Give a week - align and report back.
