Airbag Ignitor
Does anyone know if you meter (1.5VDC standard meter voltage)the airbag ignitor if this is sufficent to deploy said airbag?
I know it takes significant current to generate enough heat to deploy. My logical mind says it would be okay for a short duration, but never have done this, so I thought I would ask.
Chasing a "Resistance to High" problem on both the drivers and passengers side airbags. The plug on the drivers side is connected and the passengers has been spliced together. Previous Owner!
I have accessed the ABS module and will shoot the wires to the seat. I read measuring blocks and all others are okay.

More than a few failures of that part reported here..
When i replaced my seats, jumpered a 4.7 Ohm resistor across the side bag terminals to "fool" the system...FWIW..
Doublecheck that splice too

Thanks for the tip. I thought about metering the resistor or just shorting the two ignitor wires and see if the code kicks out too little resistance, alas I am a chicken. Maybe if someone else had jumped first. I'll keep looking.
By the way if you can guarantee the delivery person I would be inclined to make an early purchase!! What can Brown do for me!!
