steve... what exactly does the defcon do?

im still new to the audi world. so im trying to learn as much as i can here.

well i'm sure steve's site has the best explanation...

but here's my version.

they tighten up the steering and make the car steer more directly and precisely....the rest of the story basically centers around the history of "MK1" arms, which were stiffer control arms and bushings prior to Audi recalling them to make them softer....

highly recommended, even with my short 1 day experience with em so far...(just had em installed on saturday)

btw when did they switch to the softer bushings?

I swear my 01 was lightyears better then my 03

All '01's on (and any spoilered car) had the "New" style...

if memory serves my 1st one had a may build date

<center><img src="http://images34.fotki.com/v1122/photos/1/19447/584817/m3-vi.jpg?1202787364"></center><p>and ages ago I did some research and found out there way a brief time when some cars went out with spoilers and no other "upgrades"...whatever is may be my 01 was much sharper then my 03...alas..I might be rejoining the crew again...unless the deal on this works out...should have something new in the driveway in a few weeks...

so if I get a TT are there any defcons still left in existance?
