Default Shocks & Springs Guidance

Well I'm finally ready to replace my shocks and springs on my 2002 TT 225. What would be a good combination to sit on 18" RS4's. I just want a little 1" drop and a tighter ride, nothing too crazy. I've looked at Bilstein and Koni shocks and Eibach springs. I was just made aware of H&R springs but don't know what model number to consider. Is there anything else I should also replace along with the shocks and springs? I'm a newbie so go gentle :-) Any shops in Portland Ore that can be referred? Thanks!

Default I've had bilstein sport shocks with eibach springs on my car for about 100k miles

now in the PDX area. Great combination, certainly firmer than stock but not at all harsh. Drops the car about an inch all the way around. I had mine installed at Matrix, they're in Portland. Great shop, very knowledgeable and they do a ton of work for local enthusiasts.

http://www.matrixintegrated.cc/</a

Default Thanks John

I'm happy to have met someone in the Portland area with a TT. I've seen a few on the road around here. Thanks for the shop web site. I will definitely be checking them out! It must be nice to have two in the garage! Frank

Default There are quite a few of us on here actually...

I'm actually out in the burbs and rarely venture into the city. Hopefully we'll get everyone together this summer for a drive, maybe up to the volcano. And it is nice having two in the garage, especially when they're both working

Default Cool! Re: There are quite a few of us on here actually...

Very Cool! Where in the burbs? I live in Lake Oswego and work in Clackamas. My TT has been great fun and I mainly use it in the evenings and on the weekends. It is Moro Blue.

Default Many of us have gone with this combo...>

I was probably one of the early (Bad) influencers....:-) You can't hardly go wrong with Bilsteins and Eibachs. they match the car very well..

Default TT Stuff?

I saw them on the TT Stuff web site. Is that a good place to buy from or do you have a better place you can recommend?

I studied the advice of the TT masters here for a long time before the opportunity of a lifetime came along (thanks Steve).

Here is the car in post-op at the shack.
