Dealer has had my car for over a week. Can not diagnose AWD issue. (minirant)

I went to the dealership yesterday and drove my car with the shop foreman in the passenger seat. Good day for it too, cause it was snowy/icy.

He said he saw no issue with the AWD system and there were no codes.

I drove it, going over ice on purpose I gave it gas and the fronts broke loose like it was FWD on an ice rink. He said "are you sure it's not just bad tires." No, they're almost new. Come on...this guy's the shop foreman. Even if my tires were bald, a properly working AWD system's rears would pick up the slack!

I explained that after having the car since 2003 I'm pretty qualified to say that it's not driving like it should in dry, rainy AND snowy weather.

I hope they come through for me. I miss my car and the lack of diagnosis is pissing me off.

Who did you go to? I've had very good service from Criswell.

Bought it from Criswell, but took it to Valley Motors...I live in Baltimore.

it's most likely your differential lock.

i have a very similar problem, not to mention my haldex throws a memory code error. On uneven surfaces my car acts alot like a FWD car, in fact, sometimes it's relatively hard for the AWD to 'kick in'

let me/us know what the dealer says. i'd love to find out how much it costs to actually FIX this problem, if it's unfixable i'm probably going to upgrade TTs to something a little newer...
