Car question....not Audi related.....for you expert mechanics out there

So, my beater daily driver if you remember is a '95 Ford Escort (160k miles), FWD, 5 speed.

I notice this on the highway, mostly....when accelerating, the car pulls to the left, then, when I let off the gas (not touching the brakes), it pulls to the right. If I'm maintaining constant speed, it's neutral, it's just the on throttle/off throttle.

Most likely unequal length axles. More torque (+ and -) on one side.

= torque steer.

I'm familiar with torque steer, but....

this only started recently. Plus, a '95 Escort probably has negative torque.... :-)

Paul, they may be broken our just worn out. Your symptoms are consistent

with all three mounts having dropped. Swap them out and I think you'll feel pretty good about your beater.

OK, cool....I'll order some new ones.......

I guess it doesn't surprise me at 160k.....BUT...still the original clutch, believe it or not!
