Master Steve (or anyone): Got the inevitable CEL, and have 2 questions >
Next, it seems like the engine is running cooler (66C - 76C, and a notch below top center), which I presume means it's running too rich - and which I ascribe to the injector seat issue somehow - and which I won't know till I do some logs, but would that give me a CEL? seems like a too rich or too lean condition would, but it might take some time to show up - which is consistent with my symptoms...
Thanks in advance for any help.
My Bentley is down at the moment, but yes, I suspect that might have been the Knock sensor harness...Just below there is where they live. Double check that connector and zip tie clsed if you can (I recall the tab broke). Dielectric grease in those connectors is also a good thing... Enhances connectivity and keeps moisture out.
On the temp, that's a pretty radical drop and I doubt it can be attributed to the injector positioning... Did you put new O-rings back on the injectors? Good seal? The 02 sensors are always correcting and it would show up in Block 32 (check that). Sounds like a coincidental cooling issue to me....
Anyway, you needed a challenge today - glad I could help!
Thing is, I checked the connector before I ran the engine log and it seemed ok - tight. Would that give me a cel I wonder, or is it the rich condition - which I think is more likely. It's a cold day, 55, but normally it does warm up to operating temps, even with that ambient.
"run logs, run logs"
Put new O-Rings on (No need to pay $7 each, just go to home Depot!) And see if you eventually get a code you can read..

Well, damn if I want to buy a new set of injectors - that would be D-bashed.
