Downpipe question

This has probably been answered on here, but whatever. Where should I get my downpipe, and what effect does it have on sound and all that other goodness such as performance?

Significantly louder and boomier with the DP

without the cat, has that nice purring/burbling noise.. but it also smells like fumes

I should get my 42DD downpipe today (27lbs UPS) and........

will get it installed day-after-tomorrow. I can't wait. I ordered both the free-flow cat as well as the test pipe and I will decide which to drive around town after trying both out. I'm having a custom exhaust shop do it so that they can connect the 3" DP system to my 2.75" BlueFlame. I can't wait.

Over the weekend I installed the Evo HeatShield and once the car heats up, it seems to have more mid-range oomph. Maybe it's just my imagination but it does seem to pack more wallop with the cooler intake and the more advanced timing.

Where did you order it from?

and whats the difference between the test pipe and downpipe? Better yet, what should I order this is getting me confused? I have a Milltek system (FWD), dont know the size, says 100mm. Thankss

42DD directly. I talked to Evan since I had a few questions.....

about my particular install, like mating his 3" DP with my 2.75" catback, and he was very helpful and took my order over the phone.
