Unlocking your car with a PDA....anybody ever tried

I saw on you tube, a guy who used the infrared beam on his PDA to unlock his car. He put in some type of code that unlocked it. I have a Treo with an infrared beam and thought it would be cool to do it. Not necessary tho, just to impress the other geeks I know...lol

I assume it programs the IR out signal to the Lock frequency...

(I wouldn't spend too much time on this.....:-)

I guess this was done on the premise that if you lock your keys in the car somehow....it would happen to me because I lock the car with the key...but for someone who's car locks automatically(e.g. aftermarket) I guess it would help.
