I just got pulled over and it was fun
I was driving around with my camera just to get some sounds of my muffler from inside the car, and a sheriff pulls me over and goes...
cop: That's a nice car.
me: Thanks, I just got a new exhaust so I like cruising around.
cop: Oh yeah? Well, start her up then! Let's hear it!
me: Uhh, okay... ::crank:: rumble rumble vroom
cop: Oh wow, that's nice... not too loud either. Alright well, have a good one buddy.
me: Thanks... you too... ?

Here is how this conversation would go in Toronto:
Cop: You where racing
You: NO, I just installed a new exhaust and was trying to record the sound
Cop: You are modifying your car to race it on the street.
You: uhm no sir, its just for fun
Cop: You are charged with racing and illegal modifications, $2000 fine and impound.
TowTruck: Towing you away
Cop: oh btw, Nice car!

It must be a colonies thing
Victoria, Australia is much the same. Tickets for 3 kph over the limit, unmarked photo vans all over and the car gets confiscated for hooning, which is to say racing around.

oh man that's rough... here at school upstate NY, cops are ridiculously nice haha
I have a friend who got pulled over for maybe 20 or 30 over the limit on the interstate, and since the trooper saw the Geneseo University sticker on his car, just let him go since he was just a few exits away haha.
