Without modification a 3.2 is electronically limited to 130 mph. Early 225s listed 151mph
Chip them both and the 1.8T is probably still the faster car at top end. In a stoplight to stoplight contest the 3.2 would probably win. Though I would not know from experience.

top speed should be higher for the 3.2 (speed limiters removed)
I think they are both geared the same, 250hp > 225hp. Not sure what kind of hp mods yield for the 3.2 but I imagine if both are modded they'd both be capable of redlining 6th gear.
0-60 and 1/4 times are probably similar, maybe a slight edge to the 3.2, more torque, DSG and no turbo lag. Weight difference probably negligible. 0-100 and higher speeds the 3.2 probably wins as it would likely breathe better at top end than the 1.8t. No replacement for displacement and all that.

Based on a top speed at Daytona of 135--137 or so (chicane to tri oval)--------------->
I'm not sure there is anyplace east of the Mississippi where one could find out. I imagine you would have to be flat out for two to three miles. Not my idea of fun on a public highway.

I swear I read that 130 # somewhere but looking around I find #s all the way up to 155 ????
Maybe those with All Season tires are different than those ordered with summer tires?? I don't have a clue.
