Anyone ever refresh their engine covers with some black paint?
Edit: tape off anything you dont wanna paint that color (like the middle part with the rings) blue painters tape works good...Same method I used for my headlight mod and it turned out very nice.

Cleaning them is the key...i used diluted simple green and washed the covers good.....once done, there is no need to sand or clean up scratches....
The paint is in the link....brand and color code...it has a tiny bit more of a sheen than OEM, but if you like your covers to look like they did on the showroom floor....this is the deal.

http://public.fotki.com/TTinCT/tt_modifications-1/engine_mods/touching-up-the-eng/</a
