Anyone run a 225 3" downpipe with the stock cat back exhaust?
Anyone run this setup, or similar, like with the Milltek Hi-flow resonated cat back exhaust? I hear that particular Milltek has stock like sound levels, possibly less.
How is the sound in that setup compared to stock?
Does it drone, idle loudly, etc...
Just wondering if the resonated exhausts reduce the loudness that would otherwise come with a downpipe mod. And if so, by how much.
Please indicate if you have a Roadster or coupe.

I'm running the 42DD 3" DP with the high-flow cats & BlueFlame catback......
and it's as mellow as a cat(back) purring. No droning. No loudness at idle. Just a great sound when I punch it. With the windows up I can't tell the difference from a completely stock system.
I would suggest that you go with a bigger D catback than stock to make use of the 3"DP. Otherwise, IMHO, you will be strangling the exhaust downstream and negating much of the benefit of the DP.

I ran the 42dd with stock exhaust at first, and now with a blueflame.
225 coupe.
I first installed the 42dd with the stock exhaust and it was a little louder at idle (very little but defintely noticable) and a little louder under throttle, the tone turned a litter deeper.. and I experienced Zero drone.
After the blueflame install it got louder and deeper but all in a good way. but it is still relatively quite for a performance exhaust and it still has absolutely no drone.
either way iam sure you would not dislike the exhaust note/tone you will get from either setup.
