Default doing some research on racing seat brackets, i cross ref'd a number from 996/Boxster to TT

meaning a compnay who makes brackets lists the same number for 996, Boxster, and TT Coupe.

Seems to indicate that 996 and Boxster seats would bolt right up to a TT.

Anyone who owns both a Porsche and TT care to give it a try? Might be an interesting idea for some of you guys looking for the next "mod."

I'm going with either Sparco Sprint 5's or Evo's if I convince myself to drop $700 per seat. Any experience with either? Can't find the weights listed anywhere.

Default Hmmmm...Sparco doesn't even list an Audi bracket...>

of any type which is why I custom fabbed mine..
The side mount brackets can be fabbed to any rails/sliders that the OEM seats bolt to though, so maybe the P-car is like the Audi in that respect. i never had the Boxster seats out though..

My 350Z buddy wants to buy my Sparcos, but his seats are integrated into the sliders so no easy fix....Sparco has the brackets for that car @$300/seat and they can't provide him with any headroom data...We're sorta stuck on that one..

Default I don't know on the crossover, but here's a link to the sparco dimensions

and weights.

And a link to Sparco's main page for competition seats. On the left you'll see the links to resources. http://www.sparcousa.com/seats_comp.asp

Sparco seat details...

Default awesome.... thank you

looks like the Sprint V, despite being steel instead of fiberglass, is still pretty light. Wonder what makes the Evo worth more than double.

Default If your ever going to consider using a Hans device make sure

to get a seat that works with it. Some of the seats have slots for the shoulder harness to pass through that are too narrow or too low and creat downward pressure over your shoulders as you tighten the harness while using the Hans.

Default This is correct - 996 seats bolt right in - as evidenced by these GT3 seats in this TT

Owner bolted these directly into the TT with no modifications using the stock Porsche brackets that came with them.
