And so, after 100k my luv affair with the wife's VW Touareg has ended.... for such a large SUV
that thing handled remarkably well and never missed a step. Only complaint we had with it was the retarded tire pressure system which seemed to like to go off if the pressure deviated even slightly. Other than that, and with next to zero maintenance being truly done by her, she racked up close to 100k on the beast in 4 years time... and the thing felt new every time I stepped in it to drive. Amazing. Yesterday it was time for her to say good bye as she traded it in for a new Nissan Murano - so the family goes back to a one car VAG household. Murano has some interesting tech and time will tell if I like it as much as what we replaced but one thing is for sure - after getting in a NEW car, I realized the TT with 140k on it is beyond SHOT!! Mikey needs a new car too....

Mike- trade the TT for a Mk2! Or.....
I know a nice 60K Mk1 for sale here in Atlanta (NOT InTTruder!). You could fly in for QdM, and drive it home for around15K I opine!
We liked the Touareg, but it didn't fit my petit, buxom wife. Got the C230 SSk instead (damn!)!

agreed on 2 of the 3..... the paint can wait as the parking garage clowns would screw
it up in short order. Until I am not relying on their esteemed services M-F, I'll have to wait on that. A regular wash, wax and detailw oudl suffice for me - trust me.
