There's nothing like leaving early from work to go home and fix the car
At lunch I drove it around the block to try and determine what it was and I heard the sound change when I would brake. I went back to the office and grabbed a coworker that knows a bit about fixing cars and had him listen from outside and this determined that it was coming from the passenger side front wheel. I then took him around the block to confirm and half way through the noise stopped.
Upon closer inspection we found that two of the bolts holding my ecs rotors together had come out and one or both must have been caught between the dust shield and rotor. We also noticed that the hat and rotor disc were not held snuggly together (it could be shaken a little bit back and forth). When I took it apart I saw that the remaining bolts although tight all have significant play and can actually spin in the holes like a sleeve or something is missing (the other side is not like this). This also explains a new rattle I have been hearing lately that I thought was coming from the back, I had planned on looking into it next week when I put the summer tires on but I guess I found it.
So I am replacing both of them with something else since I don't want to have to worry about crap like this.
