RIP to the two Cincinnati FF's who were Killed in the line of duty today

Captain Robin Broxterman and FF Brian Shira died while performing search and rescue opperations just after 0600 this morning at a residential structure fire when the floor gave way beneath them and they were trapped in the fully involved basement. Please keep them and their respective departments in your prayers!

They will be in all of our prayers, from someone about to enter they academy himself, it cuts deep..

I made an arson fire a few weeks ago...

Where they initially started it (with gasoline) it had burned through the floor (a telltale sign of arson) and there was about a ten foot drop into an unfinished basement... luckily it was so well involved that we fought defensive (didn't go in) and no one had to discover the collapsed floor the hard way. The house was a total loss, it had just entered foreclosure. Supposedly a trend. Not a good sign for my brothers across the nation. Remember, every day is a gift.

That's one thing thats good about Florida, no basements. At least if you had to you can jump out of a second story. There is no quick escape from a basement.
