Pneumatic turbocharger??
Hay everyone I thought I'd tip you all off to something new... Pneumatic turbochargers.
I've spent about a month and half machining the first working prototypes for the inventor. What I do know is they turn over 40,000 rpms with zero heat added to the engine compartment! That's right "ZERO!" None,, ZIP!
Boost??? I'm not really sure exactly how much boost will be produced, he's still keeping that kind of secret but I hope to hear that's its something worthy after all the bench testing is complete. In the mean time here is a couple of pictures of my work. Hope you like..

I'm curious how exactly this works...I think it'd be neat if he managed to utilize the energy of the engine sucking air (placing the turbine around the intake mani or so) to make it suck in more air :O
Or, if it's just a turbo that relies on a shot of compressed air from a tank to spin it, meh, impractical.

Not quite sure I understand the concept. Pneumatic would imply that it is run by air pressure. The only high pressure air available is the exhaust....(Heat). Also anytime you compress air you get (you guessed it) Heat. Be interesting to see this in operation..

What he designed is a pretty innovative concept.
So cool in fact he locked up the patent rights long before I got involved. But I had the same questions you have and all I can say is let's see what happens next.

As physicist I cannot help but agree with Steve...... HEAT .....
innovative is an understatement!
I suppose a jet engine compressor concept is possible but the load on an internal combustion engine would likey be hard pressed to break even from a net power standpoint,
