Question, doing 40k maint, used Mann W 940/25 larger filter. Was a big pain to get in , but doable (pat on back). Is this a good filter to use? or overkill. buddy recomended. Will do Haldex next, all ready to go.

Is not really necessary...I think it was aimed at the early Longitudinal 1.8's that developed sludge issues and had a relatively low oil capacity to begin with. Most all of us here have used the standard filters with no issues over many years and many hundreds of thousands of miles....

Thanks, will go the normal next time.
should I change filter next oil change? I was told the Audi filters should go for at least two changes and will work better if left in. Mann seems to be a good filter.

most here change the oil and filter each time>>>>
i perform this every 5k with Mobil 1 0w-40.....
I would guess you could change it, but i always like clean oil and clean filters....
Check the FAQ section noted in my sig, as it has a lot of data in it to answer many questions about the TT....

Thnx for the info ,Love the forum guys, new to the Audi scene own a full fledge resto shop Jaguar XKEs mainstay, (old world tech ,but oh so beautiful) so this Audi will keep me on my toes
