What a difference new tires make.

Especially when the wheels are balanced acceptably (after 3 tries...). I can actually hear the engine again. I'd forgotten how nice it sounds!

I had a set before, but highway construction bubbled one. I then threw on some RS 4 wheels I had bought from a 3.2 owner that had the original Pilot Sports on them. They were a predictable, grippy, communicative (ask the local SCCA chapter about the noise...) tire, but several autocrosses, three track events, and however many road trips had worn them to the wear bars. Unfortunately I didn't get a concrete mileage figure on them, but they were good while they lasted, besides getting pretty loud towards the end.
