Default Had a chance to track the 3.2 Mk2 this weekend

Very impressed with the car. Absolutely stock and was every bit as fast around the track as my 225 back in the day when it had a chip, exhaust, rear bar and StopTech's.

Default Did you have magnetic ride? The one I took out a Putnam Park did. The car felt FANTASTIC, but I...

hate the looks... Won't get my $$$ (until I change my mind ; )

Default Yep, some rumors of being able to tune the magnetic suspension.

I've never really been opposed to the looks but having it parked next to mine really made me feel like mine looked dated. No, let's just call it a classic look!

Default Hi Ken. 6 spd manual? I have been "thinking" about that car too.

That and the Z4 M coupe. There are killer deals on those now. Didn't sell well.

Default DSG, nice on my wife's A3. I still prefer a manual for a car I'm going to track

Not sure why. The DSG shifts faster than I ever could. I'm a fan of the Z4 M coupe as well although I've never driven one. Ralph Stephens is a newer Audi Club instructor from Iowa who was at Autobahn this past weekend. He drove a 225 TT and showed up with his wife's Z4 M and couldn't say enough about how much more he liked the M. I could put you in touch with him if you'd like.
What are you doing with that 21mm bar once you pull it off your car?... :-)

Probably should give it to you! I'm giving it one more chance at TGPR on Fri the 18th. That track has 3rd gear carousels and esses with no high speed 4th gear turns. May be ok there. If not it's coming off and I'll let you know. I've been doing some events with PBOC and a group of BMW guys (mostly modded M3s). My car is sort of an oddity with them and I had been telling them that it was hard to mess up in a TT. That's not true with this bar and stock springs. Blink and you are sideways :-)

Default Car's going into CPT tomorrow for a few things

one is a broken 19 mm Neuspeed rear sway. Going to use it as an opportunity to go with the larger bar I've wanted. Didn't know if yours was already off the car, I'd throw you some $$ for it. If you're still testing the waters I'll probably have Al order whatever he thinks will best match the 25mm Neuspeed front bar.

Default that was my experience too:

3.2L, 6MT, mag-ride

I was really amazed with the way it behaved on the track in stock form. I instantly connected with the car, and it did just about everything I wanted it to, where some coaxing would be necessary in my slightly modified car...

Default How do you break a sway bar?

I would think the links would fail before the bar. I COULD get my H&R 21 mm bar off this weekend. I was just being lazy and going to try it once more. When do you need one? I'll give it to you if you agree to come to Barber and instruct. I could use a refresher course :-) Then you could sign me off and be lazy. Take care.
