Savannah, GA, road course reopened; historic race Oct 30-31, 2008
Wow, it hurt to see those big barriers. It had nice banking type curves too, as well as flat ones.
I will most certainly be there days ahead to see if I can get at least a parade lap.
I just got invited today to Roebling, but sadly will be back in Chicago on the days I could run there. An owner of a construction company has 2 cars he runs there and will let me drive one of them. WooHoo
And Ted, just across from River Street just doesn't exactly explain it unless you are a world class swimmer.
You get to cross the Talmage bridge from Savannah and see that boost pop 25psi a few times as you go through the gears flying up the hill of it. Then when you come back you get a nice little exit too with some fun curves.
I am slowly finding some damn nice off ramps around this flat little town.
Yep, the TT may have 107k on it but it still pulls awfully hard.
