Default Hesitation on boost appears to have been caused by the plugs - pulled em last night

and gap was widened to over .032. They were also quite loose as well. I had gapped em originally at .028. These were also my first try at one range colder plugs. Replaced em with OEM normal heat range at .030. Car runs great now. Think i'll skip the one range colder plugs as I don't think they are necessary and appear to have gap issues. Maybe copper would have done better.

Default IK22's ?? -->

I'll have to check mine, although I don't have any hesitation issues. Did yours come gapoped at 0.028? I left mine at 0.8mm (0.0315) when I put them in and they work great.

Default NGK Bkr7eix - I gapped em at .028 as they were at .032 when I got them

I use these in the Avant 2.0T as well - and they were much better than stock in that application. One range colder plugs should be gapped .028 or maybe a bit less depending on whether your chipped or Big Turbo.

If your's work - that's good - it appears it isn't right for my car and it's tune which if you didn't know if now APR not GIAC.

Default I've got BKR7Es at 0.028 as well

was getting hesitation under boost when we had our heat wave recently. Regapped them this week as they had opened a bit (10k miles). Gotta wait for it to get hot again to see if it fixes it

Default You running copper or iridium? I assume IX since you went 10k and copper only lasts 5k

This was basically an experiment with these since I had to order a set for the Avant - I figured I'd try em on the TT as well. I ran factory plugs at every change until these - never had any issues with gap widening etc. When I pulled my last set of factory plugs - they were gapped right at .030 just like I installed em 15k miles previously.

Default Question for ya......

You said you went from Giac to APR. Can you compare the two? Pros/cons? And which do you like better? I currently have Giac. May switch to APR as I suspect Giac's programming is making me think I have boost issues. Boost drops off way too much at higher RPMs and I hate it. Or maybe it's the plugs! I plan on checking them.

Default Running copper, wasn't aware they were supposed to be dead quite awhile ago

They looked good when I pulled them. Might try a fresh set just to see if there's any difference, they're cheap enough.

Default I have mine gapped at .030 and regap every 10K. I tried copper but...>>

felt the IK22s pulled better. Also it is reported that copper only last 15K or so. I get nearly 30K on the Denso's.

Just my 0.02.
