car overheated today please help!

car overheated today please help!

I was driving down the road and the temp warning light came on and the gauge read all the way hot... Checked block 49 on hvac controls and it read 123c shut off the car then tried idling it and the temp went back down to 90c... is this the water pump?

probably, but other problems can also be there. Turn on the A/C, do you hear the fan?

both fans are working...

If it happened while driving, it sounds like the pump..

this just happened to me in my S6, turned out to be the thermostat.

happened while driving, ac started blowing swamp air. car started overheating. after cooling down, it would drive for a couple miles then overheat.

or it could be your waterpump
