TTE prep continues: New clutch installed! <wuss-boy farmed this one out>
Problem came and went... somedays it wouldn't skip a beat, some days I was slipping 4-500 RPM. Started in 6th under heavy load, then 5th and finally 4th. Of course since I ordered the clutch it has been fine. No matter how hard I tried the mf-er would not slip.
Anyway... finally got tired of it enough to replace it. Went with South Bend Stage II (TF series) and after much contemplating, a new, stock dual mass flywheel. (pic not exact as this is the SMF part)

I had the shop save the parts (cuz I'm a dork and like to see how stuff works) and although they said it looked "OK", it seems to have heavier wear on the outer edge and appears sommewhat convex on that side. After 50 mile "easy" ride home I'm very happy with the feel - exactly like the stocker. Hopefully no slippy when I get on it.
Also had them replace a torn CV boot and align it. All that's left is brakes and we're ready for TTE - yay!
