It's official I'm moving to Northern Calofornia!
Thankfully I will be moving straight back into the wildlife biology and natural resource management world I left behind in Oregon prior to hurricanes Katrina & Rita.
I have already started making a list of the roads that I plan on running the TT on once I'm out here; any and all are welcome to join me.
Cheers,
Matt
I did the Dragon last year, it will be nice to compare the 2.
Cheers,
Matt
In the summer we'd take off from Sacto on our bikes and head up there. It'd be 60-70 degrees in the morning when we left, we'd ride all the way to snow on Mosquito Ridge!!, then back down to over 100 degrees in the canyon at the bottom. It's amazing. I actually like it better than the Dragon. YMMV, but absolutely make the trek. Well worth it.
Not a bad idea to drive it with a second car, just incase someone has a problem. There are occasional vehicle/body recoveries up there. Not for the faint of heart. Be careful, but have a blast!
There miles of amazing twisties down there. Try Salmon Falls Rd (Some cautions there as well... google it first), HWY 49, etc.

<a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=9549505317007700076 ,38.953280,-119.946240%3B16962603707305033282,38.890110,-120.366350%3B7028868088120762952,38.659692,-120.958796%3B3933149519612839112,38.918883,-121.025360%3B95

It's probably one of the best driving areas in the US. You're lucky to be moving there.

Teh Pashnit
