I'm going down to fabric store today, I wasn't happy w/ my first attempt @ black suede headliner
Honestly I didn't do a great job on the headliner. It just looks kind of crappy. There are 3-4 glue bleed-through spots, one part in the drivers rear corner is kind of sagging and the pillars aren't as tight as they should be..
Fabric cost me like 50 bucks, the glue cost more. But I have A LOT of glue cans leftover d I'm going to be working on my car all weekend so I want to get my interior back together!
So I have the two tone interior, grey seats and bottom accents, grey carpet - then top of dash and door cards is black. Thats why I figured black would look good up there. Maybe I will just do plain black fabric or perforated leather!
My buddy has these red suede doors it came out SICK! But I don't think that's going to sit right with my grey seats... what do you guys think?
I'd really dig a red suede headliner. I wouldn't mind picking up black dash/door cards/seats one day if they weren't in bad shape. Guess I could always trade my stuff. I kind of like the two tone, it has a luxury effect to it. Reminds me of my mom's bmw but not as well executed. Reminds me of a corrado as well... : )
Maybe good ol' grey suede? Or silvery suede? Something to liven it up a bit. I'm not even sure I love suede. Maybe a grey and black cross stitch/flannel type material. Old school VW MK1/2 look!
