Default Grille replacement

I've searched the forum exhaustively and found that generally speaking, the front bumper has to be removed in order to properly remove the old grille.

I did see a couple of posts from a those who ripped out the front grille using what appeared to be either a kind of saw (forgot the name) or a dremel.

For those of you who have swapped your grille by cutting out the old one, anyone have a more detailed account of exactly how you went about it? Did you start from the center and just cut outwards and start removing piece by piece?

Before anyone comments about how easy it is to remove the front bumper, I don't have a driveway or jackstands, and would much prefer to lose the $50 or so to cut out the old grille then go through the trouble of removing the old bumper as long as I knew it was safe to do so.

I did do the research and a few people clearly removed the grille by cutting it out and simply installing the new one. I just wanted to know if someone who did that had a detailed write up of how they did it.

I'd rather go through the trouble of carefully cutting out the old grille and throwing it away, then buying jackstands, lifting the car, trying to remove the front wheels, taking off the front bumper, and probably breaking parts of grille in the end, just to do everything again in reverse then just cutting out the old grille.

Default I think you should pay someone to do it for you, or get a friend who's done it before to help.

And remove the nose!

In that case... a sawzall and a 4 inch angle grinder should do the trick.

Default No need for jacks, jack stands or even intelligence to remove the front...

but if the thought of even jacking the car and removing a wheel seems daunting you should not even be thinknig about this. No one here has ever, to my knowledge, cut their grill out. I think you're confused with another forum and I think I know which one. Do it right, get some help, or skip the project.
