Brake Squeal
So my brakes squeal. They squeal the loudest when in reverse even when I am not pressing the brake pedal. They also squeal when I am lightly pressing the brake pedal (the last moments of coming to a stop, parking, etc.).
I've taken it to the dealer under CPO and they mentioned they put anti squeal on it...but it didn't help.
Any recommendations? Is it something that can be fixed with different brake pads? Or is it something mechanical that needs to be lubed?
If it's just the pads, I'm only looking for stock stopping power with less dust and less noise!

OEM pads don't squeal? I've heard complaints that they do.
If I change the pads out, any recommendations on a particular brand? Again, I don't necessarily need extra stopping power over OEM, just want the same or better plus less dust and squeal.

my recollection is that they don't; it's been a long time since I've run them >
and no, I don't have any recommendations other than oem; neither of those characteristics - squeal or dust - have factored into my selections for a long time. I'm sure someone will chime in to help you though.

My favorite street pad----
Pagid sport black . Quiet unless you have cooked them on the track. Then they get harder and squeal. dusty about like OEM. I tracked them for a couple of years till I began to ask more of them than they were designed for. Now I have to swap back and forth. Hawk HP+ for track, Pagid RS

They do squeal...
or at least mine do. I replaced mine (w/ OEM) around 2 years ago and have about 25K on them and they squeal at low speeds. I replaced the original ones around 60k because of the loud squeal and increased braking distance. When I wash the rotors really good the squeal goes away. That could be it. I dont wash my car every weekend like I use to in college. Now its maybe once a month, but my car never gets tht dirty.
