Default Sorry to ask this again......ESP light....

I searched but didn't get the answer I was looking for. My ESP light has been on lately. I haven't notice any decrease in power and the MAF has been replaced. Is it most likely the Lat/Long sensors or just a dirty MAF? The ABS light has NOT come on so I'm leaning towards a dirty Mass Air Flow. Thoughts?

Default try unplugging MAF and see if it gets better

or plug it into a VAGCOM and see what codes it's throwing...

could be a horizontal or longitudinal G-sensor.

Default There are two sensors -- one of them, when it goes bad, trips only the ESP light.

Do you have access to a vag-com to read the fault codes? That should tell you what's going on.

Default crazy thought

maybe it's something with the Electronic Stability Program.

No, that's too far-fetched.

Default Thanks everyone but Mr. Fun...I unhooked the MAF....

and it still came on. I'll have to try to track down a VAGCOM to check it out.

Default It's OK. Sometimes we are a bit in disbelief that the indication is in fact the problem. The TT is.

so finicky that we often refuse to listen.

Good luck on the troubleshooting.
