Who has tapped an oil pan for an oil return line?

Who has tapped an oil pan for an oil return line?
What type of fitting did you use? Brass or AN?
I used an AN fitting last night and it really wouldn't get tight enough and eventually the thread snapped off the fitting in the hole. What a POS!
So what have you guys done?
This is for my friend's RSX, not the TT... The project is finally almost done!!!

piep style tap is what u need, they are taperd, so as u run the hardwear in
it gets tigheter, thats what i do when i tap a oil pan for a oil temp sensor or a direct thread in fitting. u have to be carefull not to over run the tap and ruin the hole

On my A4 (12V), I used a brass fitting I bought from ATP
They also supplied me the drain hose that will work for a T3 Turbo.
Since the V6 engines have thick aluminum pans (as most cars these days), what I did was bore a big hole on the upper pan (actually a couple of small holes cleaned up by a file) then I used a tap to make the threads. Tap was available at a local hardware store.
If your RSX has a stamped steel pan, you might consider taking it off and using a fitting and two nuts on each side of the pan, or have someone weld one nut in place. Keep it high above the oil level line (check your dipstick level) and avoid oil seepage.<ul><li><a href="http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-OIL-007&Category_Code=ATP-OIL1">ATP fitting</a></li></ul>
