Default Hardwire V1 issue>

so i think somehow that hardwire kit that came with my V1 died (had it hooked up in the A4) but now it doesnt seem to be working when I hook it up to a fuse...

i was reading about hooking it into the homelink... what do i use.. the phone wire? cut it and are there the right wires in there?

thanks!

Default check the inline fuse that comes with the V1 hardwire kit

Default Make sure you're on a grounded lug then..>>

Some of the screws inside the fusebox that you would normally us for this are not grounds..

Default i made that mistake once on a boost gauge

definitely worth looking into, if you aren't 100% sure, break out the voltmeter.

Default Would ya believe it ?? It can be too long after all.

How long is the "phone line" that you're using between the remote power junction and the head unit? If it is too long the unit won't power up. I found a nice thin phone wire (think credit card thin) that I used to run up under the headliner in my S6A, but it was 25' out of the box. Too long. Trimmed out the excess and spliced it back together and everything worked fine from there out.
