I Must be Challenged (or how to put the sliding tray cover back on?)

I don't know how it came off (I think a combination of the ezpass and tomtom shoved in there), but my sliding lid that covers the tray between the seats has decided to come off its track.

I tried for a few minutes to get it back on, but it would not cooperate. What is the secret?

i had to take off the frame supports/knee brackets to get to mine

and had to take off the under center dash panels that go right above that tray. torx bits are whatcha need.
