Thoughts on how to reduce/eliminate detonation without getting extreme (ie water injection)?
I still get a bit of pinging even with the new fuel pump, it's been there before the pump went bad anyway. I've got an FMIC and the evoshield for additional cooling and I run copper plugs at one range colder (BKR7E).
Anything else I can do without getting into water/meth injection? Would running an adjustable FPR make any difference (I've got the 4-bar with a ****)?
Programming is fairly conservative, just a single 91 octane program from OCT.

You really shouldn't be pinging John...Not enough that the Knock sensors coudn't handle. Maybe some Carbon build-up on the pistons/Valves? Might be time for a good top end flush (Seafoam etc)!

It's not really bad, right around when boost spikes in 3rd gear I get just a little bit
that is audible, doesn't happen all the time. Didn't see much buildup on the valves when I pulled the manifold recently but I guess the pistons could be another story. Suggestions on a good top end flush? Have read enough slightly scary stories about seafoam that I don't really want to try it. Maybe spray some water into a vac line?

Hmm, was hoping the copper would yield better heat transfer than the platinums
might be time to finally try the iridiums.

with the Iridiums was excellent...RoberTT and Hans will echo that as well I'm sure!
Think about getting the injectors blueprinted as well...You might have a weak spray pattern on one or more...Cheap as I recall..

Have you logged your timing pull? Also might want to try some higher octane gas - 100 octane
and just see if it is really detonation. Torco Octane Concentrate works as well - it's not an octane booster.
