Hi Guys,
Yep, it was the timing belt. Poor Dark Arabian Knight will be in the shop for 3-4 days. Not sure how much the damage is. But at a minimum we are looking at bent valves. A new head is not quite out of the question yet...
81k on a 2000, he had it coming. The shop that is doing the work seems good and the prices may not be bad after all.
I told my buddy do it ASAP. Procrastination will hurt his wallet soon.
