Default Something went very wrong here

Suspension job was just done on my brother's car. The shop is closed until Monday. After trying to explain it to me for a while, he finally sent pics.

Driver side:

Passanger side:

Any ideas?

Default i had that problem too....

when i first got my neuspeed springs and koni shocks installed, after it was done both strut towers were way off....

turns out i needed new replacement upper strut bearings. the stockers were flat as a pancake. this worked, and all is now well....

here is what it looked like after the new suspension went in and before i got the upper strut bearings replaced- look at the wacky line-up job:

Default Hi Ahmed..Thanks for the call earlier!...>

Here's the pic. It's obvious they've done something wrong, probably related to parts 6 or 7...

Default Start with some new strut bearings and bushings.

I'd double check the proper order of installation as well as Schwing posted below.

Strut Mount Kit

Default

if I were guessing I'd say part #7 was left out on the drivers side...

Default Thanks for all the help guys; strut Mounting kit was given to the shop

So given this, either they did not use it, or they did not install it properly. Will find out on Monday.

The kit was from ECS, which I know was of the stiffer variety.

Default I think what might have happened....>

You used the mounting kit from ECS, including the spring perch for stock shocks?

As I recall the brand of shocks you were mounting were Koni's or another brand....

The shaft size may have been different, it looks like it punched through the (too large) hole in the Spring perch (#7) that you used..or it was left out completely as Wil mentioned

Default I used ECS - ES#5029 - without perches.

The kit that has Upper Spring Perches is ES#5123.

My brother took my used Bilstein HDs. So it should work with the stock parts without issue.

Looks like we have some certainty the job was botched. Will give the shop a chance to explain, of course.

Default Should be good then..They left out part #7 I'm sure...>

That's the only way the shock shaft could be pushed up that high..
