Clutch is done and all is well.
1. ECU reset itself to stock mode. I thought something wrong, till I figured that out. (with a a boost machine set for APR 93, when you revert to stock mode, you get too much boost and the wastegate opens suddenly after it hits 20 psi or so. Makes you think something is amiss.)
2. Window reset procedure had to be done. FAQ came in handy.
3. Had to replace some of thse little plastic rivets that secure the underhood cladding.
4. Had to reset clock, due to the battery being out for 6 days.
Oddly the stereo did not lock to safe mode??????
That's it! Panos automotive here in Trussville is now my prefered indy shop. Never been treated better. Spent time with the tech as he did the alignment after having the subframe off and the control arms off. Got it right back to -1.5 camber left and right. O toe. and 7 degrees caster. Great to find guys that take pride in doing things right.
Total cost for clutch kit and dual mass flywheel from World Impex, and labor for clutch replacement at Panos along with alignment and an oil change while we had it up on the rack = about 1/2 the price quoted by dealer.
One note. While I was under the car the other day with subframe off and everything accessable, it is a good thing that no-one tried to sell me a 3" downpipe. It was just right there looking so vulnerable.
Birmingham is a little too far to go for me but I've finally found an Indy shop here in Huntsville by the name of StaticX Motorsports. I'll give them a try the next time I need something major done. I'm thinking the TB would be a good test case.
I'm glad everything worked out for you, John,
