Default as long as the Cayman is around...the TTS is basically useless...

it's not powerful enough to really warrant that kind of money, and furthermore, the Cayman is the REAL DEAL, whereas the TTS just seems like a generic 'hard' version of a MK2 which never really found an identity..

but you're right. i'll take an engine swap please

Default Yeah, who needs it with this around?

Most likely my next ride. not really into dropping $$$$ into the TT at this point. It will not be sold, still love it too much :-) Next year or so gonna look for a nice used Cayman S and this kit costs $14,000 installed!!!!! Hopefully can be had for under $50,000 together. Sounds like a better deal to me.

Default or buy a used 997 turbo. total cost will be less that the cayman s and the kit.

plus, you get a nicer car.

Default I don't know, they feel really, really nice. And a Cayman S is a $70k car and almost a Porsche

the Cayman does feel good, but not another $15-20k better than the TTS. 0-60 in 4.9 is pretty good for the new TTS as well. projected is sub $50k w/ some great standard equipment. then spend the extra $500 for software and where does that leave the little beast?

Default well, still behind the cayman in the twisties

oh but i forgot it's still "almost a porsche"

mid-engine layout is where it's at for handling...

Default depends on your perspective

you could buy a used cayman s. turbo it and still have the mid-engine layout, which the 997 doesn't have.

Default Still behind one..............if you're a pro driver!

i'd put money that most of us would be faster in the TTS than a Cayman S.

Default yeah, but it's still not a 'real' porsche ;)...........sorry couldn't help it

obviously the cayman is a real porsche, i was merely stating the opposite of Everso's "generic 'hard' version" comment.
