Default More Gauge Problems..

I have now ran 7/32 rubber hose to a barb coupler on the back of my 3404 autometer gauge, all the way to the t at the fpr, with NO kinks or anything. In 3-4 gear it reaches 11 psi. WTF??
Before i had the crappy nylon 1/8' line it came with kinked behind the gauge even and it shows around 7psi in 3-4 gear. Everyone tells me my 225 should be showing around 14. Help Please.. I want to get it chipped but i want to make sure everything is right first..

Default You gotta get it back to new.....>>

if you want new car boost, unless there's a leak issue..

New MAF, Plugs, Temp sensor, Maybe coilpaks, O2 sensors etc..ALL those sensors and parts must be operatoing at 100% for the ECU to dial it up to max.

so 11 psi is not normal for the vehicle? how do i tell if there is something wrong? maybe it is a bad gauge? it doesnt feel sluggish at all and no cel...only cel was on for the rear o2 sensor because no cat, but added spacers and cleared

Default What I said.....

normal boost is 12-14 psi. Spec is 1 bar (14).
I'm not an autometer fan...Who knows what the margin for error is. You need to assess the age and function of the parts I listed above. If you don't have any history on the car, replace them all.

plugs are new, temp sensor is new, coil packs are the good bolt on ones and the o2 sensors are fine....the only thing i think maybe is the dv should have the spring changed or the spacers added?

Default DV's don't make boost.......>

YOu can only improve things if it is leaking which it probably isn't. The correct spring is green. Don't shim until you chip.

ok...so i dont think there is a boost leak anywhere,,if there was, i guess it would be sluggish....or a cel for limp node or something...which there isnt...so if i tune it to apr 93...what should boost be?
