Installed Bilstein HDs a few months ago..kinda harsh ride...>>
Installed the shocks/struts with stock springs and got an alignment. Also should note I got new tires a few months before that. The ride was nice and sporty..sportier than I would have imagined..
but over abrupt bumps, it feels too harsh to be right...what could be wrong here (if anything)?..
It's kind of annoying..but otherwise, the car handles very nicely.
could your tires be overinflated?
I had this set up and found it so harsh I pulled the dampers back out and sold them to ZZcett aka Scot
years pass, and Scot loans me his car for a week while Sandra and I are in Hawaii...
WTF was I thinking about? "this thing is freakin SMOOTH!!!"
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought it was surprisingly harsh for Aftermarket shocks/struts with stock springs..
Then again, I don't know what a brand new 2000 TTQ drove like off the show room...just a used 8yr old car with 100k miles on it..
Thanks for your reply
I liked the sporty 'stiff' ride it gave down the road..but sharp bumps and such don't get dampened at all..anyway..hopefully it'll get a little bit better with some miles on 'em.
My other car has tein basic coilovers and it's low..ride is firm, ..the bumps might be the same..maybe a little bit less dramatic..
maybe it's my tire pressure..

It is sportier....but every ones opinion and expectation is different...personally, i love my sports and Eibach springs..
if you were expecting softer...or stock....it is not that.
